An Evening with Lynsay Sands and Vicki Pettersson: Holidays are Hell
Author: Lynsay Sands and Vicki Pettersson
Wonderful or horrible, holidays have always been magical. Lynsay Sands, New York Times best selling author, and rising star of the urban fantasy genre, Vicki Pettersson, will spend an evening discussing the connections between our world and the supernatural in their new anthology, Holidays Are Hell, a spellbinding look at what happens when the magic of the holidays is unleashed. This program is presented in conjunction with HarperCollins Publishers. A reception and book signing will follow the talk.
Let me just add that Suzanne Scott, who is in charge of these author events, absolutely kills it when it comes to presentation and making both authors and readers feel at home. I've attended as both; as a reader I've seen Laurell K. Hamilton and Janet Evanovich speak and sign there, and as a writer I've done the same with Kim Harrison. We were both blown away by the welcome, and that signing had to be one of the highlights of my professional life.
So here's the deal: If you happen to be in Las Vegas and you want to attend the signing, drop me a line at vickiATvickipetterssonDOTcom and we'll set up a group date to go out for drinks afterward. It's an intimate event and I'd like to continue the tradition of meeting with my readers (last March it was morning coffee to celebrate the release of THE TASTE OF NIGHT). The Peppermill would be a good venue as it's featured in the books, and the fireside lounge inside is wonderful fun in the winter.
